The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on Interstate 5 (I-5) for maintenance and construction operations. Work is scheduled to occur as follows:
- Full closure of the John C. Erreca Rest Areas on northbound and southbound I-5 through July 31, 2024.
ALTERNATE LOCATIONS: Motorists are advised to use either the Westley Rest Area (San Joaquin/Stanislaus County line) or the Coalinga-Avenal Rest Area (Fresno/Kings County line). Electric vehicle charging stations are available at the Westley Rest Area.
This work is scheduled to take place as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or materials and construction related issues.
