The Oregon Department of Transportation reports that travelers should expect nighttime lane closures Monday through Thursday nights, August 17-20, on both directions of I-5 over the Interstate Bridge in Portland.

Single lane closures will begin at 8:00 p.m. and crews could close a second lane at 10:00 p.m. All lanes are scheduled to open by 5:00 a.m. the following morning.

Next week, crews are preparing the median to allow traffic to crossover to the southbound span in September, installing signs and starting to build the falsework, the temporary structures underneath the bridge’s lift span that support the bridge during construction.
