The Oregon Department of Transportation reports that the I-5 southbound off-ramp at the Mt. Ashland Exit 6 will close for 12 hours beginning Tuesday, August 2 at 6:00 a.m. for paving. Traffic bound for the exit will need to use alternate routes such use Oregon 273. The ramp will remain open for emergency service traffic.

The Exit 6 southbound on-ramp will close August 4-17 for corrective work on the Exit 6 bridge deck over Old Siskiyou Highway. Southbound I-5 traffic should use Oregon 273 to Exit 1 to access I-5. Mainline southbound I-5 traffic over the bridge will narrowed to a single lane to complete the work.

The paving and corrective work are some of the last items needed to complete the multi-year $32 million project that improves 11 miles of I-5 from the California border to Ashland.
