The California Department of Transportation reports that, following the Thanksgiving holiday, Metro’s I-5 North County Enhancements Project will require the overnight closure of portions of I-5 in the Santa Clarita area. All Closures are Scheduled for 10:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. only.
- Northbound I-5 will be closed November 29 and November 30.
- Southbound I-5 will be closed December 1 and December 5.
- Closures will also happen December 6-8 only if needed.
Motorists are asked to use Golden Valley Road and Newhall Ranch Road as a detour around the closure to go from I-5 to SR-14 and back.
