All Northbound I-5 Interstate Bridge Lanes Will Close Saturday

As a detour, travelers headed for Washington should take Interstate 84 east to northbound Interstate 205

The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) reports that all northbound lanes of the Interstate Bridge (I-5) will be closed from 11 p.m. Saturday, January 20 to 6:00 a.m. Sunday, January 21 while crews work on the traffic signals.

As a detour, Washington-bound traffic should take Interstate 84 east to Interstate 205 north across the Glenn Jackson Bridge over the Columbia River.

All northbound lanes should be open by 6:00 a.m. Sunday, January 21.

The Interstate Bridge is jointly owned by Oregon and Washington and is operated and maintained by ODOT. The northbound span opened in 1917 and the southbound span in 1958.
