The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) announces a scheduled 48-hour closure of the southbound I-5 Exit 248 off-ramp to Delaney Road SE. The ramp will close at 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 12, and reopen by 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 14.
Detour Route
Motorists are directed to use Exit 252 (Kuebler Boulevard) as the designated alternate route during the closure period.
Work Zone Conditions
Travelers should anticipate the following conditions within the active construction area:
- A reduced speed limit of 55 mph.
- Daytime and nighttime crew operations.
- Temporary lane, shoulder, and ramp closures as required.
- Construction vehicle ingress and egress.
- Potential debris, dust, noise, and minor delays.
All motorists are required to exercise heightened caution, reduce speed, and remain vigilant for workers and equipment. Fines are doubled in all Oregon work zones, regardless of the presence of personnel or signage.
