The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) advises motorists that if you use I-5 through Portland this weekend or the weekend of December 12, expect lane closures under the Morrison Bridge for repairs.
The left lane of both directions of I-5 will close from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. The closures are necessary for Multnomah County’s Morrison Bridge Strengthening Project.
The work also will require closures for the three nights of the following weekend of December 12-14. The county also expects to need a single overnight closure on Wednesday night, December 17.
Please watch out and slow down for road crews if you’re traveling I-5 any of those nights.
