The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) reports that, as part of their I-5 paving project, they will be closing the on and off-ramps at I-5 Exit 209 and I-5 Exit 216 to pave and install gravel on the shoulders.
You can detour around the closed ramps by using the exit before or after, depending on where you’re going.
Upcoming Nightly I-5 Ramp Closures
I-5 Exit 216 to OR 228
- Northbound I-5 on and off-ramps will close nightly, through August 19.
- Southbound I-5 on and off-ramps will close nightly, through August 22.
I-5 Exit 209 to Diamond Hill Road
- Northbound I-5 on and off-ramps will close nightly, August 24 through August 26.
If you’re going through the area, you can also expect:
- Crews working mostly at night, from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Some daytime work as needed.
- Single lane closures between 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
- Construction noise and delays.
- A reduced speed limit to 55 mph in the work zone.
- No lane changes allowed where there are double white lines.Â
