The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) reminds motorists to be aware of upcoming nighttime ramp closures affecting I-5 in Halsey. Scheduled to commence from September 3rd to September 5th, the closures will impact both the northbound off-ramp onto OR 228 (Exit 216) and the northbound on-ramp from OR 228. These closures are part of the ongoing I-5 paving project between Halsey and the Linn/Lane county line.
During this period, expect signed detours to guide you around the affected areas. Work crews will be active through Thursday, between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., with single lane closures occurring from 8:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Please anticipate construction noise, potential delays, and a reduced speed limit of 55 mph within the construction zone. Additionally, be aware of lane restrictions due to an abrupt lane edge โ no lane changes are permitted where double white lines are present.
