The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) advises motorists to plan ahead for upcoming nighttime I-5 on-ramp closures near Harrisburg as part of ongoing infrastructure improvements.
Drivers should be prepared for the closure of the northbound I-5 on-ramp from Diamond Hill Road (exit 209), scheduled from July 21 to July 25, between 8:00 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. During this period, alternate routes via the southbound I-5 Exit 209 on-ramp and subsequent adjustments are recommended.
Construction activities, focused on the I-5 paving project between Exit 216 and the Linn/Lane county line, include nighttime operations from Sunday through Thursday, with lane closures and construction noise anticipated between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Additional lane closures may occur on Saturday nights until 9:00 a.m. A reduced speed limit of 55 mph is enforced in the work zone, with strict adherence to lane boundaries where indicated.
