The California Department of Transportation (CalTrans) reports the following upcoming I-5 weekend closures in Orange County. All work is weather dependent and subject to change.

Construction crews will shift traffic to the new southbound I-5 on- and off-ramps at Avery Parkway. This requires a full weekend closure of both ramps.

Work will begin at 10:00 p.m. on Friday, September 15, and finish by 5:00 a.m. on Monday, September 18. A portion of Avery Parkway from Camino Capistrano to the freeway bridge will also be closed for this work. The northbound I-5 and on- and off-ramps will remain open.

Detours will be in place to assist motorists. Plan for additional travel time. The schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or unforeseen operational issues.
