The Oregon Department of Transportation reports the following ramp and lane closures, traffic delays and travel advisories on Interstate 5:
I-5 MP 237 to 242 – Maintenance Work
Lanes Affected: (Southbound) 2 Lanes (Northbound) 2 Lanes
Grind and inlay paving work 6/20 to 6/23 between the hours of 9 PM to 5:30 AM. One lane of travel will be closed. Please proceed with caution. Estimated delay under 20 minutes.
I-5 MP 250.15 to 251.76 – Construction Work
Travelers can expect midday lane closures of the southbound off ramp. Expect intermittent night time lane closures on I-5 south bound. Caution. Ramps Affected. Motorists should be aware of the increased construction activity around the interchange, proceed with caution through the work zone and obey posted speed limits. Project Summary: The I-5 Kuebler Interchange Project will address the increasing congestion at the interchange by modifying the existing southbound off ramp, which will decrease the conflicts at Kuebler that have caused back-ups on I-5 southbound. The new ramp will meet modern standards and contain excess capacity. The project will also add a westbound to southbound I-5 loop on ramp and modify the eastbound to southbound I-5 on ramp. Estimated delay under 20 minutes.
I-5 MP 301.911 – Commercial Vehicle Information
I-5 SB Exit 301 ramp to I-84 EB (Portland) Effective July 10, 2016, the ramp from I-5 southbound Exit 301 to I-84 eastbound will be closed between the hours of 7 AM & 12 noon. Estimated date of completion is July 10, 2016.
I-5 MP 302 – Construction Work
Lane and sidewalk closures on Broadway and adjacent city streets; new traffic alignment to Broadway Bridge. Occasional daytime shoulder closures on the southbound I-5 off-ramp (exit 302A). The old right turn lane has been removed and traffic will travel in a new lane realignment that connects to the Broadway Bridge. Daytime, periodic single lane closures and sidewalk closures on North Broadway Street and adjacent city streets will occur from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday. Bicyclists and pedestrians will be provided access through detour routes. Please be alert and follow detour signs. Estimated delay under 20 minutes.
I-5 MP 302.011 – Commercial Vehicle Information
I-5 SB on-ramp from Moda Center (Portland) Effective July 10, 2016, the ramp from Moda Center to I-5 southbound will be closed between the hours of 7 AM & 12 noon. Estimated date of completion is July 10, 2016.
I-5 MP 302.6 – Commercial Vehicle Information
I-5 SB Exit 302A to Moda Center (Portland) Effective July 11, 2016, the ramp from I-5 southbound Exit 302A to Moda Center will be intermittently closed between the hours of 10 PM & 5 AM. Estimated date of completion is July 14, 2016.
I-5 MP 302.6 – Commercial Vehicle Information
I-5 SB Exit 302A to Moda Center (Portland) Effective March 25, 2015, the ramp from I-5 southbound Exit 302A ramp to Moda Center will be restricted to 14 feet 00 in. in width on Sunday to Thursday nights between the hours of 8 PM & 5:30 AM, and on Friday nights between the hours of 8 PM & 8 AM. Estimated date of completion is August 31, 2016.
